STUDYING IN POLAND · 2026 GUIDE
Prepare for study in Poland without confusing admission, entry and residence
A university admission decision does not by itself grant a visa, entry or residence permission. SettlePL connects the separate official steps so international students can prepare in the right order without uploading identity or immigration documents.
PUBLIC GUIDE / PROTECTED PRODUCT
Official facts stay public. The usable personal system does not.
This page gives the minimum reliable context needed to understand the issue and verify the authority. It does not publish SettlePL’s personalised decision path, complete task sequence or reminder logic.

1. Start with the institution and the responsible authority
Use the institution’s current admissions rules for the course decision, and the relevant Polish authority for qualification, entry, residence and work questions. These are separate processes, and acceptance by one body does not guarantee a decision by another.
- Verify the institution and programme
- Check the current official source
- Treat promises of guaranteed admission or immigration outcomes as a warning sign
2. Keep the legal questions separate
Admission, qualification recognition, entry permission, lawful stay and permission to work can depend on different facts and authorities. SettlePL’s public guide identifies those boundaries; the complete ordered route, preparation requirements and personal timing logic are not published here.
- Your citizenship and qualification matter
- Your course and study format matter
- Travel and re-entry may need a separate check
3. Prepare for practical arrival
Insurance, accommodation, local registration, banking, transport and university onboarding may all matter, but the correct order depends on the individual situation. Verify providers and payment terms independently before paying or sending documents.
- Keep official, university and commercial information separate
- Do not send sensitive documents to SettlePL
- Use the personalised route for ordered actions and reminders
What SettlePL does—and does not do
SettlePL organises official-source information, practical arrival actions and personal progress. It does not act for a university, consulate, NAWA or immigration authority; it does not assess eligibility, recognise qualifications, submit applications or guarantee an outcome.
The current pre-launch pilot is free and device-only. Accounts, university workspaces, document exchange, referrals and payments are not live. Do not upload or email passports, diplomas, visas, residence cards, medical records or payment details to SettlePL.
Frequently asked questions
Does university acceptance guarantee a Polish student visa?
No. Admission and the visa decision are separate. The responsible Polish consulate assesses the visa application under the current requirements.
Where can I check qualification recognition?
Use NAWA and the institution’s current requirements. The answer depends on the qualification, jurisdiction, intended programme and applicable exceptions.
Can an international student work in Poland?
It depends on citizenship, study format and the current immigration basis. Check the Office for Foreigners and the individual employment position before working.
Can SettlePL check or store my documents?
No. The current pilot does not check, approve or store passports, diplomas, visas or residence documents. Use the responsible authority, institution or regulated professional.
